In a world where most of our favourite treats aren’t always so good for us, could coffee be a pleasure we get to enjoy guilt-free?

Benefits of drinking coffee

1. Boosted energy levels

This is mostly down to caffeine’s blocking nature of adenosine which naturally builds up during the day, making you tired. It won’t just allow you to feel more awake in the morning, but is the reason you can complete tasks more efficiently too!

Drinking coffee has been linked to a reduced number of liver enzymes in your blood levels which means a reduced risk of inflamed or damaged livers!

Black coffee itself is not only extremely low in calories, but caffeine consumption before exercise is also believed to boost the metabolism and help aid weight loss.

10. It tastes great

This has to be the best benefit really – whilst not strictly a health benefit, being able to enjoy something we love every day is in itself great for keeping us happy.
