Rudy’s Vegan Butchers made waves back in 2020 with the announcement of the UK’s first vegan butchers opening in London. The butcher is the brain-child of Ruth Mumma and her husband Matthew after launching their successful vegan diner in Camden named Rudy’s Dirty Vegan Diner back in 2018. The butchers sells vegan alternatives to classic meat products, such as vegan meatballs, vegan burgers, vegan pulled pork and much more. It also includes a vegan charcuterie section — perfect for your next little get-together.

Clean Kitchen was started by Youtuber Michael Pierce teamed up with Made In Chelsea cast member Verity Bowditch and they have created a fully plant-based restaurant that has got London talking. Despite periods of lockdown where restaurants could not fully open, Clean Kitchen has been running a successful effort on Deliveroo to give the people what they want: in this case, delicious vegan burgers. Post lockdown, they are planning to expand their kitchen across the UK.

This independent boutique launched during the the first lockdown of the pandemic is a maternity clothing store with clothing for women at all stages of their pregnancy. It’s styles are all sustainably made, using natural and organic fabrics, vegetable pulp buttons and dyes, and recycled materials. It’s made locally and ethically, and there are plans to work with a charity-run factory to produce the garments post-covid. This is a brand that new mums can feel good about shopping at — both for the lovely styles in stock and the ethical approach of the brand.
