Whether you’re feeling under the weather right now or just prepping yourself for a rainy day, you’re probably wondering if a banana will sort you out. Keep reading to discover if they’re the ultimate sick food.

Are bananas good for when you’re sick?

To put it simply, yes bananas are a great food to at when you’re feeling under the weather. They’re nutrient-rich and full of fast-acting carbohydrates. They’re soft, so they’re easy to eat and digest which shouldn’t be underestimated if you’re feeling unwell.

If you’ve been sick then your electrolytes probably need topping up, luckily bananas are loaded with potassium which makes an excellent replenisher for your body’s stores.
