Have you been wondering if your favourite bag of crisps is suitable for vegetarians and vegans? Keep reading to find out.

Who doesn’t just love crisps? Whether they’re part of a lunchtime meal deal or dipped (liberally) into some hummus as a pre-dinner snack, we’re a nation hooked – but are all crisps vegan? 

Are crisps vegan? 

Generally speaking, the vast majority of crisps are suitable for vegans. 


Crips are quite a general term for crunchy snacks that have either been fried, baked or even popped. They’re usually made from potato, but popular alternatives include everything from grains to legumes like peas and chickpeas.   

What crisps are vegan?

It’s always important to check the ingredients for non-vegan flavourings, added whey or even some E numbers!
