You might think that because they’re mostly made up of water that cucumbers aren’t especially good for you, but prepare to be surprised! They’re full of soluble fibre, low in calories and high in nutrients – but mostly in its skin, so make sure you’re not missing out by peeling yours!
Why are cucumbers good for you?
They’re super hydrating, high in soluble fibre but low in calories so great at aiding weight loss. They’re full of antioxidants which can reverse the effects of oxidative damage and prevent some chronic diseases.
They’re also believed to lower blood sugars and help regulate bowel movements.
