Are Flying Saucers Vegan?
2min read
Flying saucers, UFOs, those colourful wafer sweets filled with fizzy sherbet – whatever you called them, everyone’s tried these retro sweets at some point. But are they vegan?
Whether or not the various colours do indeed taste different, we’ll never know; but we can conclusively discover if they’re suitable for vegans.
Flying saucers
Whether you know these sweets from your local pick ‘n’ mix, or you were lucky enough to come across an undiluted box of just flying saucers, everyone can remember just how much they make your nose wrinkle.
These colourful and fizzy sweets are made up of a wafer shell and filly with tangy sherbert, unsurprisingly somewhat resembling a cartoon UFO. Granted, they might not have the most natural ingredients list (sugar, maize starch, dextrose, a good few E numbers and more) but are they suitable for vegans?
