Are Pop-Tarts Vegan?
2min read
Everyone has such fond memories of these sticky, sweet, sugary and multi-coloured breakfast treats. But are they vegan?
Pop-Tarts
Nostalgic-favourite Pop-Tarts are made by breakfast giants Kelloggs and they sit in the category of toaster pastries – yes, that’s a thing! They were first introduced in 1964 and haven’t waned in popularity since. They’re the size of a giant domino, made up of two sealed rectangular pieces of shortcrust pastry that are filled with various sweet fillings, often coated in icing or frosting too.
Are Pop-Tarts vegan?
It’s another yes and no answer. Some Pop-Tart flavours are completely (or accidentally) vegan and a few aren’t because they contain dairy-based milk powder and gelatin.
Which Pop-Tarts are vegan?
- Blueberry
- Strawberry
- Brown-Sugar Cinnamon
