Are Rice Noodles Vegan?

Rice noodles are popular in East Asian cuisine but have gotten global recognition from noodle lovers around the world. But are rice noodles vegan? Find out here.
What are rice noodles and are they made from?
Rice noodles are a type of noodle originating in China, dating back to somewhere between 221-206 BC. They are made of rice flour combined with water to make the dough, though sometimes tapioca starch or corn starch may be added to give the noodles extra bounce and texture. It may also have a little bit of oil in it too.
Are they vegan?
Yes, rice noodles are generally vegan! This is because its very basic ingredients are plant-based and generally nothing is added to packet rice noodles that stop it from being vegan friendly. It’s always best to check the packaging to make sure though!
