Are Wotsits Vegan?
3min read
If we’re talking nostalgic crisps then Wotsits have to be right up there – but are these cheesy snacks suitable for vegans? Keep reading to find out.
What Wotsits flavours can you buy in the UK?
As well as the classic cheesy Wotsits (that turn your fingered slightly orange for a minute) you’re also able to buy Flamin’ Hot and Sizzling Steak flavours. These were a few fan-favourites and perhaps brought back by popular demand!
Are Wotsits suitable for vegans?
This one requires a bit of a longer answer. Both the original Wotsits and Sizzling Steak flavours include lactose powder derived from dairy-based milk making them unsuitable for vegans.
However, the Flamin’ Hot variety might just be suitable. It doesn’t explicitly contain milk powder in its ingredients, however, the allergen warning does say that they ‘may contain milk’ and that they’ve been made in a factory that handles milk.
