Oowee Vegan is the newest restaurant chain with a faithful following of people from a range of diets — but what actually are they, what do they serve, and where can you find one? Read on to find out.
What is Oowee Vegan?
Oowee Vegan is the name of several vegan restaurants around the country that have got people talking about its delicious American-style vegan fast food. It won deliveroo’s ‘Restaurant of the Year’ award in 2019, making it the first vegan place to claim the title. And people go absolutely crazy for their stuff: back in April 2019, the restaurant organised free burgers to celebrate deliveroo’s 5th birthday, which drew thousands of people and resulted in police having to step in to control the crowd of fans.
What’s on the Oowee Vegan Menu?
You can expect vegan fried chick’n burgers, vegan beef burgers with Beyond Meat, dirty fries with toppings ranging from cheese and gravy to vegan shrimp and sriracha mayo. They also have a range of deliciously thick and creamy milkshakes if you want to go to a full American diner.
Where can I get all these delicious eats?
Since its opening just a few years ago, Oowee Vegan has continued to expand and now there are six locations:
- Manchester
- Baldwin street, Bristol (for eat-in, collection and delivery)
- Picton Street, Bristol (for delivery)
- Brixton Market, London (for eat-in, collection and delivery)
- Dalston, London (delivery or collection)
- Brighton (for eat-in, collection and delivery)
