4 Vegan-Friendly London Restaurants With Discounts This October

5min read

August may be well and truly behind us, but eating out for less doesn’t have to be a thing of the past. Here are just some of the restaurants with ‘Eat Out To Help Out’ discounts serving vegan-friendly food.

After the success of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme in August, restaurants have been continuing promotions in September and even October. So if you’re planning on eating out this month, consider the fantastic food served up by these four restaurants made sweeter with the discount.

Unit 102, hicce x Wolf & Badger, Stable St, London N1C 4DQ

hicce interior

hicce boasts of exposed brick, presenting a bright and airy space in Coal Drop Yard in King’s Cross, and the Michelin guide’s approving assessment that ‘it has the feel of an NYC loft party’ is very accurate. The contemporary restaurant serves up equally modern European food; vegan-friendly delights include the vegetable board of lentil, sweet potato and beetroot. We recommend the mushroom terrine, which has been described by one of our own at allplants as ‘lifechanging’. The restaurant is currently offering 50% off up to a maximum of £10 to bookings Tuesday - Friday dinner between 5 pm and 5.45 pm.

The Spread Eagle

224 Homerton High St, Homerton, London E9 6AS

The Spread eagle interior

The Spread Eagle is London’s first 100% vegan pub, complete with vegan, upcycled furniture and vegan food and drinks for all. Using seasonal ingredients and tackling food waste in kitchens, The Spread Eagle believes in the (tasty) power of sustainability. Highlights include a baked ‘shamembert’ to share, Korean fried jackfruit, and burgers with fan vegan favourite Beyond Meat patties. The Spread Eagle is offering 50% off lunch Monday to Friday throughout all of October, so make the most of your lunch break!

El Pirata

5 - 6 Down St, Mayfair, London W1J 7AQ

El pirata exterior

El Pirata has brought a slice of Spain over to Mayfair in the form of El Pirata. Serving tapas to die for, you’ll soon forget the wind and rain of the typical British October. Vegan-friendly eats include bread with garlic and tomato (which, though unassuming, is seriously addictive stuff), wild mushrooms in garlic and breadcrumbs, and the good ol’ classic, patatas bravas.  From 12-5 pm, Tuesday to Friday you can enjoy 50% off all single tapas dishes up to £10 per person.

14-15 Langham Pl, Marylebone, London W1B 2QS

Madera interior

Madera is a restaurant in the Treehouse Hotel offering great vegan-friendly Mexican food. With a tasty and pretty extensive vegan menu, you’ll find there’s something to suit any mood— think vegan chicken tacos, mole enchiladas, and vegan ceviche. They’re offering 50% off on food and soft drinks every Monday through Wednesday for lunch and dinner in October up to £10 per person, an offer too good to miss.
