Why are they a vegan restaurant?
We know as well as anyone that plant-based is delicious, and the chefs at Mali are no fools either.
According to their website ‘As long as we can remember, our moms would join 'Jay' festival which is an annual vegan event when practically half of the country become vegan for a period of 10 days. Vegan has a long tradition in Thai Culture when it was brought with a group of Chinese Opera to Phuket Island over 200 years ago. Since then, the practice has spread throughout the country.
It is our dream to bring an authentic Thai vegan to our families and friends in London. We are so happy now we have finally realised our dream in Mali, our small family run place.’
