Have You Tried ASDA’s Vegan Chocolate Cake?

by Fabian Jackson

If you’re celebrating a plant-based friend and you’re stuck on what to stick some candles in, then why not try this vegan birthday cake from ASDA.

ASDA’s vegan chocolate birthday cake

They say ‘Avo smashing birthday bash with our rich chocolate sponge, layered with chocolate frosting and covered in soft icing and edible decorations’ and we don’t disagree.

chocolate ganache

It’s certified by The Vegan Society and looks indulgent and whimsical all at the same time – not an easy feat for a cake, so colour us impressed.

Who would this be perfect for?

Whether the birthday pal in question is vegan or not, they just need to have a love of all things chocolate and find inanimate objects decorated to look like a cute baby avocado (with eyes) appealing. That’s most of us, isn’t it?

How much does it cost?

The vegan chocolate cake will set you back £11. Not the cheapest of puddings, but worth it if you don’t feel like getting out the baking equipment.
