Is Avon Cruelty-Free?
1min read
Avon is a popular brand carrying an extensive range of makeup and skincare products, but are they cruelty-free, and are any of their products vegan? Read on to find out.
What is Avon?
Avon is a cosmetics company selling beauty products and chances are, you’ve had an encounter with a sales representative at some point due to their multi-level approach (and if you haven’t had an encounter, you’re probably too young). Avon was founded in 1886 in New York, and sells products internationally, with its headquarters now in London.
Is Avon Cruelty-free?
Avon isn’t cruelty-free at this time; although its website states ‘Globally, none of our products will be tested on animals.’, it still has yet to be determined cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny or PETA, as its suppliers may still test on animals. Until they make ‘regulatory changes’ on this front, they can’t be considered cruelty-free.
Is Avon Vegan?
Avon sells products with vegan formulas, however, as long as they continue to test on animals, they can’t truly be considered vegan products.
