Is Carmex Vegan?
1min read
Carmex can be found in the jacket pockets and makeup bags of many to battle dry lips, but is it vegan? Find out here.
What is Carmex?
Carmex is a lip balm brand created in 1937 to help soothe and moisturise dry lips; it is also known for having extra SPF in it, making it the balm of choice for many. It’s bright yellow packaging with red accents makes it the distinctive product many add to the bottom of their bags in case of chapped lip emergencies.
Is carmex vegan?
Unfortunately, carmex isn’t vegan — this is because it uses beeswax as a key ingredient, as well as lanolin. However, don’t despair, because there are a bunch of alternatives that will suit your needs, so check out our roundup here. We love Dr Paw Paw lip balms, which are great if you’re looking for something hydrating but also with a little bit of colour too, due to the lovely tints they’ve got.
