Chickpea bread
Chickpea bread is a light and fluffy loaf that’s made from ground chickpea flour. There’s a naturally occurring yeast on chickpeas that are activated when mixed with water and left somewhere warm overnight. The bread originates in Turkey and Albania but is making big waves in the UK at the moment as it’s naturally low in carbohydrates and a gluten-free bread.
Is chickpea bread vegan?
You’ll be thrilled to learn that yes, chickpea bread is vegan due to it’s simple, plant-based ingredients of chickpea flour, yeast and water.
