Is Diet Pepsi Vegan?
1min read
Whether your team Coke or team Pepsi, there has probably come a time where only one of the brands was available for you to drink. So in case you were wondering if Diet Pepsi is vegan, we’ve got you covered.
About Pepsi
Fun fact alert — Pepsi was originally called Brad’s Drink, by Pharmacist Caleb Bradham, who invented Pepsi and sold it in his pharmacy in 1893. 128 years later, Pepsi is one of the most prominent brands in the soft-drink industry, recognised globally, and has since spawned different flavours and variants of the stuff.
Is Diet Pepsi Vegan?
Unfortunately, no, Diet Pepsi is not vegan. This may come as a surprise to many, since every other drink in the Pepsi line is vegan, but Pepsi’s website states that Diet Pepsi is not suitable for those on a plant-based diet. There’s no need to panic though, because anyone that’s vegan can still get the great taste of Pepsi through Pepsi Max, which is vegan.
