Is Estée Lauder Vegan And Cruelty-Free?
1min read
Estée Lauder is one of the biggest names in the makeup and beauty industry — but are its products suitable for vegans, and are they cruelty-free? Find out this and more below.
About Estée Lauder
Estee Lauder was founded by businesswoman Estee Lauder (shock) in 1946, beginning a skincare line with her husband featuring four products — a cleaning oil, and 3 types of lotions and creams. It then expanded into a full line of skincare and cosmetics, opening its own department store in New York. After this success, the brand began building a portfolio, and is actually the parent company of many well-known brands including MAC, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Becca and Two Faced.
Is Estée Lauder vegan?
No, Estee Lauder isn’t vegan, as they sell products containing animal ingredients across their range.
Is Estee Lauder cruelty-free?
No, Estee Lauder isn’t cruelty-free. This is because Estee Lauder products are sold in Mainland China, where animal testing is required by law in order to distribute, so it can’t be considered cruelty-free, either.
