1min read
Glossier has become the go-to makeup line for many who love a cute but understated makeup look, inspiring die-hard fans from top models to enthusiastic makeup users looking for light-coverage looks. But is it vegan and cruelty-free? Read on for the full lowdown.
The rise of Glossier
Glossier are well known for their use of millennial pink, beautiful branding and social media, and wonderful makeup. Started by Emily Weiss in 2014 after building a big following on her Into The Gloss blog, Glossier was born and disrupted the industry with its major online presence and stripped-back line of beauty and skincare products.
Is Glossier vegan?
Glossier is not 100% vegan, but some products are sold that do not contain any animal-derived ingredients. This includes the instagram-famous lip gloss, Generation G lipstick, and the Perfecting Skin Tint.
Is Glossier cruelty-free?
Lovers of low-coverage looks will be pleased to know Glossier is indeed cruelty-free. It has been cruelty-free since its inception and is certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny, the only internationally recognised certification body for cruelty-free companies.
