1min read
Jouer is respected and loved by many for its luxury but more affordable approach to makeup. But is it cruelty-free and vegan? Read on for the full makeup lowdown.
About Jouer
Jouer was launched in 2008 by Christina Zilber, centring on clean, classic makeup targeted at the modern woman. As well as clean in the sense of light and bright makeup styles, Jouer also positions itself as a clean brand in terms of its ingredient lists, stating:
‘We're always free of talc, parabens, mineral oil, gluten, sulfates, phthalates, TEA, synthetic fragrances over 1%, formaldehyde, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, triclocarban, aluminium salt, carbon black, lead, and animal fat.’
Is Jouer cruelty-free?
Yes, Jouer is indeed cruelty-free! It does not test on animals or use third parties to test on animals. It also doesn’t sell its products in countries where it may be required by law, making it really cruelty-free.
Is Jouer vegan?
No, not all Jouer products are vegan, as some may contain animal products such as beeswax in the ingredients. However, Jouer does have a vegan edit which you can find on its website.
