by Toni Olukiran

1min read

L’Occitane is the french skincare and wellness brand that people love for a touch of luxury to their everyday routines. But is it vegan and cruelty-free? Find out here.

About L’Occitane

L’Occitane, or L’Occitane en Provence, is a French beauty and wellness brand based in France. It was founded in 1976 by businessman Olivier Baussman, who began by making vegetable-based soaps with essential oils. It has since grown into a major player in the world of luxury skincare and cosmetics.

Is L’Occitane cruelty-free?

L’Occitane isn’t truly cruelty-free. Although the company does not test on animals themselves, they do distribute their products in countries where animal testing can be required by law. This means that they can’t truly be considered to be cruelty-free.

Is L’Occitane vegan?

No, L’Occitane isn’t vegan as there are animal products such as beeswax or honey used in their products.
