Is papaya fruit healthy?

Yes, papaya is an incredibly healthy fruit, offering a wide range of nutritional values that help promote general health and is full of important antioxidants. 

Why is papaya good for you? 

  • Papaya fruit has an enzyme called papain which makes proteins easier for the body to digest and has been shown to ease constipation, bloating and symptoms of IBS
  • It’s high in carotenoids which can help fight inflammation
  • It has strong antioxidant effects which can lower the risk of diseases by reducing oxidative stress
  • It’s high vitamin C and lycopene content could help improve heart health
