Pimms is a classic drink made for warm and sunny spring and summer days. But is it vegan?
What is Pimms?
Pimms is gin-based liquor that is typically used to make a long drink. It is topped with lemonade and garnished with mixed fruits such as apples, lemon, strawberries and cucumber as well as mint. It was first produced in 1823 and has since been a consistently popular drink throughout the UK, particularly during spring and summer.
Is Pimms vegan?
Fortunately, Pimms is indeed vegan. Unlike some alcohol which uses animal products for clarifying drinks, Pimms contains no animal derivatives. Your summertime tipples and post work rooftop drinks are safe. Both the bottle of Pimms and pre-mixed cans of the iconic cocktail are vegan-friendly, so bring on Summer!
