Is Pizza Vegan? 

There’s nothing quite like grabbing a slice of pizza, whether that’s with friends in town or ordered directly to our sitting rooms on a Friday night, it’s always a winner in our books. But is pizza vegan?

Pizza (in our opinion) is one of the finest Napolese exports since, well, ever really. It consists of a baked dough base with a sauce evenly spread over it and finished with a selection of toppings.

Is pizza vegan? 

You might traditionally see cheese-heavy pizzas on tv and in movies, but it’s more than possible for that stretchy stuff to be plant-based. If you’re making your own pizza at home then you’ve got complete agency to buy all of your favourite vegan-friendly toppings. If you’re ordering out, just make sure to check out the vegan section of the menu. 

Is pizza dough vegan-friendly? 

Often pizza dough is vegan, and if you’re making your own, then it’s very unlikely that you’ll need to use any non-vegan ingredients. However, some chain restaurants do use egg whites in their gluten-free dough, so it’s always wise to double-check before your order.
