Is Red Bull Vegan?
1min read
We all know that Red Bull promises to give you wings, but if you’re looking to find out whether or not it’s suitable for vegans, you’re in the right place. Read on for everything you need to know.
What is Red Bull and what is it made of?
Red Bull is the iconic energy drink that has been produced since 1987, and the Austrian company sold 7.5 billion cans last year, making it the most popular energy drink in the world. It is made of carbonated water, sweeteners, flavourings and of course, caffeine.
Is Red Bull vegan?
This is a tricky one. Although the ingredients are technically all plant-based, many vegans avoid Red Bull as the company tests on animals, according to Peta. This means that though Red Bull seems vegan-friendly, it does raise ethical concerns which means that people on a plant-based diet look for an alternative for caffeine hits, either in a different energy drink or a good cup of coffee.
