Shea Moisture is a haircare brand specifically catering to curly and coiled hair, making it a big name and respected brand in the world of afro hair care. It is formulated using raw, handmade shea butter in every product, and does not contain sulfates or parabens, hence its popularity amongst those with curly hair. It is also a registered B Corp.

Is Shea Moisture cruelty-free?

Yes, Shea moisture is indeed cruelty-free. They do not test any of their products on animals, use third party testers, or sell any of their products in countries where animal testing is required by law. It is also certified by PETA as truly cruelty-free. 

Is Shea Moisture vegan?

No, Shea Moisture is not a vegan brand, as it contains honey in quite a few of its products, as well as other animal products like beeswax.
