About Tarte
Tarte is a cosmetics brand founded in 2000 by Maureen Kelly who decided to create a makeup line after being dissatisfied with the makeup market at the time. The brand is now sold internationally, and its shape-tape concealer has become quite the sensation in the beauty world as well as its many other products.
Is Tarte cruelty-free?
Yes, Tarte is indeed cruelty-free — it doesn’t test on animals and neither does its supplies, it also doesn’t sell its products in countries where animal testing is required by law in order to be sold.
Is Tarte Vegan?
No, Tarte fully isn’t vegan, as it uses ingredients such as carmine and honey. It does however have a vegan edit, which still contains a big selection of its products.
