What is Tia Maria?
Tia Maria is a coffee-based liqueur used often when making espresso martinis and untraditional but equally delicious tiramisu desserts. It is believed to have been founded some time in the 18th century; its coffee beans were originally from Jamaica, however they are now sourced from Italy. Tia Maria is made from coffee beans, sugar, vanilla and Jamaican rum.
Is Tia Maria vegan?
Yes, according to its website, Tia Maria cold brew liqueur is suitable for vegans, which means that unlike other liqueurs like Kahlua, the sugar and vanilla used in production is also vegan.
