7 Vegan Recipes To Make With Your New Air-Fryer
5min read
Want your favourite fried classics made easy and less greasy? Here are seven vegan recipes that you can make with your air-fryer for some delicious dinners and snacks.
Vegan Fish and Chips
Fish and chips is a British institution, and there’s a reason why: its salty, crispy fried goodness. If you’re looking to recreate the chippy but want to cut down on the oil, your air-fryer works wonders for this one: simply put your battered banana blossom and cut up potatoes in your air-fryer.
Vegan Fried Chicken Burger
For all the burger lovers out there, this vegan chicken burger is crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, just as it should be. Triple coated in the batter to ensure a sturdy coating and juicy banana blossom, you’ll never miss your takeaway joining again. Like the fish and chips, it works super well in an air-fryer if you don’t want to shallow fry in oil.
Vegan Lumpia (Filipino Fried Spring Rolls)
This veganised Filipino party snack is a sure hit, whether you make it for others or eat them all yourself (somedays food is just too delicious to share, and that’s okay!). Salty from the filling and sweet from the chilli dipping sauce, this is perfect for those who love a mix of sweet and savoury. Simply add the filled filo pastry to your air-fryer for crisp and flavour-packed lumpia.
Vegan Spanakopita
Try this vegan Greek-inspired spanakopita recipe, which are parcels of pure deliciousness. Flaky and creamy, they are fantastic to have at your disposal for a lovely lunch or a snack to bring at a picnic. Filled with leeks, spinach, garlic, and vegan feta, these are delightful when thrown in the air-fryer for a perfectly crispy filo pastry.
Crispy Fritter Burgers
If veggie burgers are more your thing, give these fritter burgers a go. Made using courgette, these won’t disappoint: the lemon, fresh herbs and garlic make these patties amazingly fresh and zingy. For a crispy patty, definitely put these in your air-fryer. Be sure to top with the green tahini sauce, and why not add a side of air-fried chips?
Crispy Tempeh Bowl
For a quick and flavour-packed dinner, make this crispy tempeh bowl. Cook up the tempeh in your air-fryer until crispy before adding in your orange sauce for a perfect balance between sticky and crunchy.
Smokey Tortilla Chips
Want some nibbles and need them stat? Make your own crisps with your air-fryer for a snack that is lighter or grease but big on flavour. These are gluten-free and high in protein, making them great for everyone in the family to share.
