Top Boozy Tea Cocktail Recipes
5min read
We have to say, what’s better than a cup of tea sometimes? Boozy tea. Here are a few of our favourite boozy tea recipes that (in our humble opinion) make for some of the best vegan cocktail nights – or even afternoons if you prefer.
If you love tea as much as we do and are constantly searching for new ways to make the most of your tea selection, this is for you.
Our favourite boozy tea-based vegan cocktails
We think any of these recipes would make the perfect star for you and your housemates’ post-working-from-home drinks!
Vegan honey & Earl Grey old fashioned

This recipe from This and That Kitchen brings together a few of our favourite things – Earl Grey tea and old-fashioned cocktails.
As far as cocktails go, the old fashioned’s charm is in its simplicity, and this rendition is no exception. It’s made by infusing gin with earl grey tea for around 20 hours (so one to prep the night before), vegan honey and some Angostura and lavender bitters served in a tumbler on the rocks.
Agave green tea mojito

If you’re lucky enough to be somewhere sunny right now then this is the drink for you – and if you’re not, then make this cocktail, put on some sunglasses and pretend!
The green tea here adds a bit of a tannin-tang that sweet mojitos can always benefit from, but fear not those of you with a sweet-tooth, the agave brings the syrupy-notes to the party. Add in the classic fresh mint and lime, rum and some sparkling water and you have a refreshing and cooling drink on your hands.
Vodka peach iced tea

Very little is more refreshing on a warm summer’s day than a chilled glass of peach iced tea. This recipe from So Vegan adds a grown-up twist to the classic drink.
This cocktail takes a little bit of prep ahead of time, but you’re able to make large quantities of the components to keep to hand. It comes together with homemade peach-agave syrup, freshly brewed and chilled black tea and vodka with fresh peach slices and plenty of ice to serve.
Vegan dirty chai-tea cocktail

How could we make a list of tea-inspired cocktails without any chai? This is a warming and spiced-sweet drink that’s perfect for any chilly evenings.
Whether you’re looking for an after-dinner pick-me-up or simply want to explore everything chai has to offer, this recipe from Abbey’s Kitchen is more than noteworthy. It comes together with a soothing blend of chai (bags or loose leaf will both work well), creamy plant-milk, some additional cinnamon sticks and star anise, almond creamer, a dash of vanilla and Kahlua.
Non-alcoholic hibiscus and ginger punch

For an alcohol-free choice that can be enjoyed at any time of the day (and in any mood for that matter), we love this fiery and floral punch recipe from Veg News.
It’s a sharp and warming blend of apple juice, fresh lime juice, ginger syrup and, of course, hibiscus tea. This medicinal-like punch is sure to both nourish and fires you up once it’s been poured over ice and topped with a wheel of fresh blood orange.
