What is a smart coffee maker?
Smart coffee makers can do the morning’s toughest job for you and fill your home with the smell of freshly brewed coffee to wake you up. They’re today’s digital answer to the question: ‘how can we improve the Teasmade?’
If anyone doesn’t remember the Teasmade, it is essentially an alarm clock attached to a kettle which would wake you up with a fresh pot of tea at your chosen time (or five minutes before then when the kettle starts to whistle).

At just under £80, Tefal’s Smart N Light filter coffee machine is at the cheaper end of the budget range. It can be set up to 24 hours in advance and hold up to 15 cups of coffee making it perfect for large families, or anyone working from home who likes a steady supply of caffeine.
As far as functionality goes, it’s a no-frills kind of machine as it’s only capable of making black filter coffee. But if that’s all you’re looking for, then this option is perfect for you.
