Festive Vegan Cocktails: Winter Spritz
by Laura Barns
3min read
With the dark nights drawing in and cosy season officially upon us, I've been really enjoying resurrecting a few of my fail-safe cocktail recipes from last winter.
For me, great cocktails are ones that can be whipped up in minutes, contain minimal ingredients (generally four or less) and are perfect crowd-pleasers. A spritz of some kind always ticks these boxes – hello Aperol Spritz – so I love making this wintery version, which is ideal for evenings with friends when you want to serve something fun and a little fancy.
My winter spritz is vibrant, fresh and fruity, and the best bit? It’s crazy easy and requires just four ingredients. Cheers!
You’ll need:
- 50ml of tawny or ruby port
- 10ml of orange liqueur
- Tonic, soda or fizzy wine
- A handful of ice cubes
Method:
- Step one: in a wine glass, pour 50ml of tawny or ruby port, and 10ml of orange liqueur
- Step two: fill the glass with ice
- Step three: top with your choice of tonic, soda or fizzy wine. Enjoy!
