Healthiest Vegan Products To Add To Your Diet

Here’s a run down of some of our favourite vegan health foods, products and superfoods.

Being plant-powered can be extended to every aspect of our lives. From the food we eat, to the products we decide to use. Whether it’s a superfood mix to scoop into a smoothie, or the fruits and veg we’re cooking with, there are so many ways to make our shopping baskets healthier and happier.

Sometimes it’s hard to make sure we get all the good stuff we need to help us out the door in the morning and keep us going throughout the day. So, how about a natural superfood kick to help us do so?

When we see the term superfood, it generally means the food is nutrient dense – either packed full of vitamins, minerals or other plant-based beneficial goodness. Our allplants health nutritionist, Aly, describes the term superfoods as a word used to describe foods that have health-promoting or disease-preventing properties above their usual nutritional value.

Her top superfood picks to include in your daily diet

  • Cruciferous vegetables – Broccoli, sprouts and cabbage for a great source of vitamin C, vitamin K, chromium and folate.
  • Tomatoes – Another wonderful source of vitamin C, fibre and lycopene to improve heart health.
  • Beans and legumes – Packed full of plant-protein, fibre, good carbohydrates and important minerals like magnesium, iron and potassium.

If you’d like to read more about superfoods, here’s Aly’s in-depth guide to superfoods
