Sainsbury’s is now selling a vegan ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s, named Save Our Swirled, in a bid to confront the issue of climate change through its packaging. The ice cream is plant-based, using an almond milk base, and is coconut flavoured with caramel, chocolate and cookie swirls. The ice cream flavour itself is identical to the Coconutterly Caramel’d flavour released several years ago, but was discontinued in 2018 — so if you missed it, it's now back.

Scottish hotel Saorsa 1875 has won a National geographic Award for the best ‘stylish, sustainable stay’ in the world. The hotel, which can be found in historic and picturesque Perthshire, was marked against criteria of sustainability and eco-friendliness. It came out on top due to its commitment to an all-vegan approach to hospitality— meaning the food is plant-based of course, but also all toiletries, cleaning products, alcoholic beverages, and upcycled furniture is vegan, too. The heating comes from renewable energy; all produce served in the kitchens is sourced locally and lastly, for every meal served a tree is planted. As the UK's first vegan hotel, it is setting the standards for the future of hospitality high.

There is no news as of yet about whether it’ll be hitting the supermarkets any time soon, but for now it is available to buy at the Vegan Kind Supermarket.
