Vegan Ugg Boots: Our Favourite Alternatives

by Toni Olukiran

2min read

In the market for a new pair of comfy boots to see you through the colder weather? We’ve got you with this guide to vegan Ugg-style boots.

Uggs have been a classic shoe for toddlers, adults and everyone in between, and although Ugg boots aren’t vegan, you can find vegan alternatives that are just as comfortable. Here are our top picks of vegan leather and suede boots that will soon be calling your name.

The classic Ugg boot, vegan style

The classic ugg boot shape is iconic, but if you’re after a vegan alternative, we’ve got good news for you — you’ll be spoilt for choice! These Ugg-style boots from Willowbee have the same well-known silhouette with faux fur lining and suede, making them a perfect alternative to ugg boots. Bearclaw is another brand with boots very similar to Uggs, and recently launched a few vegan versions of their best-sellers. The Women's Elle Short Vegan Slouch Boots are sure to fill the Ugg-shaped hole in your shoe collection.

If it's the idea of soft boots to wear indoors that you love about uggs, make a beeline for these faux fur slipper boots from Marks and Spencers. For those of us that need that extra bit of layering come winter, these are wonderfully cosy and the best bit: they’re memory foam.

We also love the vegan boots from Camel Crown, who provide cute vegan Ugg-style boots that are waterproof. Unlike typical Uggs that don’t tend to fare well when it comes to rain and snow, these will leave your feet feeling dry on your winter walks. Knowing the British weather, these are a must-have.

Vegan-friendly mule slippers

Nothing says comfort like fluffy slippers — they’re exactly what you want to swan around the house in after kicking off your day shoes. If you like the look of Uggs’ ‘Oh Yeah’ Slides but want a vegan version, try these open toe mule slippers from M&S, which are 100% vegan. Warm and comfy, you won’t want to take these off (and for those working from home, you won’t have to). They’re sure to add a touch of luxury to your day.

Vegan Suede Chelsea boots

Many of us swear by a good Chelsea boot — they can be dressed up or down, and somehow always have the power to make you look put together. If you’ve seen Uggs’ Emmeth boot trending and feel that new Chelsea boots may be on the horizon for you, have a look at these vegan Chelsea boots from Matt and Nat. We love this brand, as it consistently delivers the goods: trendy, well-crafted vegan leather shoes and accessories, with sustainability at the heart of what they do. These boots are sturdy and slick, but best of all they are vegan-friendly.
