1. 2021 Sees Record-Breaking Veganuary Sign Ups

In an amazing virtual turn out, over 500,000 people have pledged to go vegan this January. It’s a staggering number that’s twice a great as the number of sign-ups from Veganuary 2019, with well over a quarter (125,000) coming from the UK. This year’s efforts have more support than ever too with our supermarkets backing the challenge with more plant-based ingredients, alternatives and dishes than ever before. 

2. Stella McCartney And Addidas Have Teamed Up To Release A Vegan Line

The stylish collection is called FUTUREPLAYGROUND and the line features ocean plastic waste and recycled materials as its key ingredient. The line is fashionable activewear with function at its heart and is the first instalment in this new Stella McCartney and Addidas collaboration. The entire campaign highlights inclusivity and creativity which can be seen from design right through to advertising. 

3. Three Words – Vegan. Creme. Eggs.

After last year’s roaring success, Mummy Meagz (the creators of the Chuckie Egg) has already released their smash hit, fully plant-based creme egg that will be on sale right up until Easter. This ultimate treat is comprised of a dark Belgian chocolate shell, filled with a sweet and smooth white fondant centre and a golden ‘yolk’. We certainly won’t be waiting long to buy a box!

4. Vegan Street Food Pop-Up In Edinburgh Police Box

The streets of Leith, Edinburgh have just become that bit tastier as Soulfull Grub have taken up residency in Leith Walk's police box every Monday for plant-based greatness. The street food chefs will be turning out their popular, hearty dishes like loaded hotdogs, nachos and poutine for locals to feast on. We wish we were close enough to come for lunch!

5. Sainsbury’s Boost Their Plant Pioneers Range With 20 New Additions

Over the past 12 months, Sainsbury’s customers have been buying up the supermarket’s plant-based range with enthusiasm and great reviews. This month, the high street brand are release 20 new offerings into their already popular range. Expect to see No Prawn Toast, Not-Zarella Sticks, Spicy No Meat Pizza and plenty more!
