1. Free Plant-Based Milk Available By Law In Scottish Nurseries

The new Milk and Healthy Snack Scheme is due to come into play soon. It will see the government providing free plant-based milk (alongside dairy options) to children under five years old. It will replace the existing Nursery Milk scheme that has been in place since the 1940s which has meant children in school under five should have access to ⅓ of a pint of free milk per day.
2. Jason Momoa Helps Launch Vegan Trainers

The Aquaman frontman and environmental activist has teamed up with climbing apparel brand So iLL to launch a line of eco-friendly, vegan trainers made from algae. So iLL and Momoa joined forces with BLOOM, an organisation that aims to preserve ecosystems and reduce water pollution by turning ecologically harmful algae bloom into sustainable materials. The trainers have a rubber sole that has been mixed with Eco Pure, an enzyme that will help the trainers decompose faster if they end up in a landfill.
3. Starbucks Launch Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Lattes

Looking for a new regular order this spring? At Starbucks, you’ll soon be able to try this sweet and warming chocolate chip Cookie Latte along with sunny weekend walks. If you fancy trying the latest addition to their menu, you’ll have to move fast! It’s a limited offer and is only available until May 5th.
4. Could Barristers Start Wearing Vegan Wigs?

A student barrister has trialled wearing the first plant-based wig recently. Traditionally the wigs are made from horsehair, but with the evergrowing rise in plant-based living, is it really a surprise that this image, synonymous with the legal profession, could start becoming vegan too? The prototype has been made from hemp and is 100% biodegradable – a step up from the plastic, synthetic alternatives available.
5. Alpro Launch Two New Indulgent Vegan Chocolate Mousses

If you’re a pudding person then this update is for you. Alpro, the plant-milk and dairy-free pioneers have just launched two new vegan mousse flavours – pistachio and almond chocolate, both of which come with a layer of chocolate ganache at the boom of the tub. They’ve been described as decadent desserts with a nutty twist and we can’t wait to try them.
