Brighton, considered one of the UK’s most vegan-friendly cities, has again been making waves in the plant-based scene. Brighton and Hove’s city council are making serious steps towards introducing daily plant-based meal options for all children after a plea from Brighton mother Jill Pearson-Kleinm has been thoroughly heard by Green councillor Hannah Clare. The council will be meeting with food contractors to discuss “how the request for more vegan options and a shift of emphasis towards a plant-based diet can be introduced.”

The burger is the result of a collaboration with Beyond Meat from sources at the vegan meat company, although McDonald’s are yet to confirm who they’ve been working with.
