Tabitha Brown Is To Release Her First Cookbook

The vegan Tik Tok star, Tabitha Brown, is currently working on her first cookbook which is due to be the second instalment of a double book deal (following up from Feeding the Soul (Because It's My Business). It’s to be published by William Morrow and Company, part of the HarperCollins group and we have our fingers crossed that it will include her top hitting recipes. All of us here can’t wait to get our hands on it – let’s just say, we’re big fans!
Nestlé Loses Fight For Sole Use Of The Name ‘The Vegan Butcher’

The Swiss food-giant loses the battle for trademarking the term ‘The Vegan Butcher’ this week. They recently acquired the plant-based meat brand Sweet Earth Foods and hoped to gain sole ownership of this new name in an aim to rebrand. The Herbivorous Butcher had gone through the same application in 2017 and lost but were key in opposing Nestlé’s bid for the name this time around stating that “The phrase ‘vegan butcher’ shouldn’t belong to any single company. This is also a huge victory for small businesses like ours.”
M&S Launches Vegan Easter Aubergine

Has anyone’s post-festive minds reached thoughts of Easter yet? Well, they certainly have at M&S. In the latest wave of released goods from their successful vegan food line, M&S show off their out-of-the-box design for this year’s Easter celebrations. A hollow chocolate aubergine made from 55% dark chocolate comes with a humorous rebrand too with a slight addition to the line’s name – Egg Plant Kitchen (we see what you did there).
Adidas Has Permanently Banned The Use Of Fur

We know your first thoughts might be ‘were Adidas using fur anyway?’. Well, the answer is no, but it acts more as a sign of solidarity and an effort to distance themselves from the fur industry. This announcement comes as they aim to drive the topic of sustainability further in all areas of the company. The sportswear name becomes the 1,500th clothing company to join Fur Free Retailer.
Dr Oetker Are To Release Vegan Pizza

Dr Oetker, best known for its frozen pizza line, is to finally meet many of its competitors by launching its first vegan-friendly pizza. As of March 2021, its Ristorante line will include a vegan Pizza Margherita Pomodori that will be made from coconut-based cheese, fresh and marinated tomatoes and basil on a tomato base. A spokesperson from Dr Oetker said that ensuring the highest quality was their “biggest challenge” – we can’t wait to taste-test and let you know what we think!
