The flute-playing, vocal sensation, Lizzo, has spoken out to her 9M strong Instagram followers this week. She had us all hooked with a vegan cooking video, where we saw her make some tasty looking jackfruit ‘pulled-pork’. During the video, you can hear her say ‘I’m sick of people saying that vegans don’t eat meat’ and ‘watch me eat this jackfruit meat’ before showing us all just how versatile it is. We hear you Lizzo, and if you ever fancy an allplants kitchen-collab, let us know!

Everyone’s childhood favourite has made the move to veganism – Rowntrees, we welcome you! After 130 years of sugary service, they’re now totally vegan. They have warned to keep checking labels for the time being, as plenty of non-vegan bags will still be in circulation. The company also took the opportunity to remind everyone that their Jelly Tots are already vegan. We’re looking forward to more vegan sweets makers following suit.

An Indian startup called Faborg has designed a zero-waste, cruelty-free and 100% sustainable new fabric, Weganool. The material is made from a plant called Calotropis (similar to milkweed) and has been designed to replicate the luxury quality of cashmere. The founders had the idea after seeing sunbirds use the plant-bush as nesting material.
