We have Plenish Milk to thank for the extra dose of creaminess and comfort in these two recipes. Whether you want a bowlful of warm oats with a quick and sweet tahini sauce or a fresh, vibrant chilled bowl of bircher muesli, we’ve got you covered.
Tahini and Banana Porridge
125ml Plenish Almond Milk
⅛ tsp salt
2 tbsp maple syrup, separated
2 tbsp runny tahini
½ tsp cinnamon
1 banana, sliced
1 tbsp coconut flakes, optional
Orange Bircher Muesli
125ml Plenish Cashew Milk
2 oranges, juiced
40g + 2 tbsp plant-based yoghurt (or 30ml extra milk)
½ tsp cinnamon
1 orange, sliced
To make the Tahini and Banana Porridge, Combine oats, water, milk and salt in a small pot over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, lower the heat and cook for 10-15 minutes, until creamy. Once cooked, stir in 1 tbsp maple syrup. In the meantime, combine remaining 1 tbsp maple syrup with tahini. Serve the porridge topped with sliced banana, the tahini sauce, cinnamon, coconut flakes and a dash of milk.
To make the Orange Bircher Muesli, combine oats, milk, orange juice, and yoghurt (if using) in a large bowl. Let sit for at least 45 mins in the fridge (preferably overnight). Serve topped with cinnamon, sliced oranges and a dash of milk.
