5min read
Think you couldn't make a butter board vegan? Think again. This vegan butter board, filled with whipped fluffy butter crispy garlic and fresh herbs is just as delicious, rich and deeply savoury as the trending classic. If you don't have a wooden board to spread butter this, you could also serve this on a plate or in a shallow bowl. Remember, where there's butter, there's a way.

Ingredients
4 cloves garlic, finely sliced
60ml olive oil
250ml plant based butter block, we used naturli
Flaky salt
10g fresh herbs, such as chives, tarragon, or amaranth
Method
STEP 1
Add the sliced garlic and oil to a small saucepan. Bring the garlic to a gentle simmer over medium low heat, and simmer it for 6-8 minutes, until lightly golden. Set a small strainer over a bowl, and strain the garlic - reserving the infused-oil for a different use.
STEP 2
Add the plant based butter to a food processor, with 1/2 tsp salt. Whip the butter for 3-4 minutes, scraping down the sides of the food processor half way through, until the butter it fluffy.
STEP 3
Use a spoon to scoop the butter in small spoonfuls, onto a clean wooden board or plate, and use the back of the spoon to spread and swirl the butter along the board.
STEP 4
Top the butter with chopped fresh herbs, the crispy garlic and flaky salt.
