Biscuits, Biscuits, Biscuits: Are Hobnobs Vegan?
2min read
Whether you’re a die-hard dunker or you prefer to keep your biscuits separate to your tea, we can all agree that sometimes Hobnobs are best. But are the crunchy favourites vegan?
Here’s everything you need to know about Hobnobs.
What are Hobnobs?
Hobnobs are sweet, crunchy biscuits that have been made by McVitties since 1984. They’re made from a combination of rolled and jumbo oats and are often likened to a cross between a flapjack and a digestive biscuit.
Are Hobnobs vegan?
Yes! Hobnobs and supermarket own brands are vegan friendly. They happily sit in the ‘accidentally vegan’ camp as they’re made with vegetable oil rather than a dairy-based butter. Unfortunately, the chocolate-covered Hobnobs aren’t vegan-friendly though.
If you’re looking for a plant-based, chocolatey biscuit, then make sure to check out this post of our 11 favourite vegan biscuits. You might just stumble across your next favourite treat.
