About Aveeno
Aveeno was founded in 1945 by Albert and Sidney Musher. Originally selling one product, a bath soap, it has since majorly expanded. All Aveeno products are created using oat extract, and they are marketed with the aim of helping several skin conditions, including eczema, hives, and sunburn. Its parent company is Johnson & Johnson.
Is Aveeno cruelty-free?
No, Aveeno is not cruelty-free. As stated on their website:
The fact is, AVEENO® doesn't conduct animal testing of our cosmetic products anywhere in the world, except in the rare situation where governments or laws require it. At AVEENO®, we won't ever compromise on the quality or safety of our products or stop seeking alternatives to animal testing.
Aveeno continues to sell products in countries where animal testing is required by law, meaning their products are not cruelty-free.
Is Aveeno Vegan?
