Is BBQ Sauce Vegan?

Though BBQ sauce is typically associated with meat dishes, the best of us also love to dip our chips into the stuff. Read on to find out whether or not it's vegan.
What is in BBQ sauce?
BBQ sauce is typically made from tomato paste, vinegar, sugar, smoke flavouring or liquid smoke and garlic. Depending on the brand and type of bbq sauce, they will also include an array of spices, such as cayenne pepper, paprika and mustard powder.
Is it vegan?
Yes, you’ll be pleased to know that the majority of BBQ sauces out there are vegan friendly, as they tend to stick to the ingredients above. It’s always best to check the label though, in case some brands use animal products such as milk powder or dried egg.
You can find BBQ sauce that’s vegan friendly in all supermarkets, as there is a range of brands that make vegan sauces.
