Is E.L.F Cruelty-Free And Vegan?
1min read
ELF is a cosmetic company known for selling good quality makeup at affordable prices — but is it cruelty-free and suitable for vegans? Read on to find out what you should know.
About ELF
ELF was founded in 2004 by Joseph Shamah and Scott Vincent Borba, the former a business graduate and the latter a beauty industry veteran, teaming up with the intention of creating affordable but still glamourous makeup for the masses. Starting with 13 products, the company continued to grow, catering for all levels of enthusiasm for makeup. Final fun fact: ELF stands for eyes, lips and face.
Is ELF cruelty-free?
ELF is truly cruelty-free! No cosmetic products are tested on animals, and they do not sell their products in countries when animal testing is required by law. It is also on PETA’s list of approved cruelty-free brands.
Is ELF vegan?
Yes, ELF is also completely vegan! No products are made with any animal products, and this now includes brushes too, having phased out brushes with animal hair back in 2016.
