What is vegan cheese?

Vegan cheese is a cheese that is is completely plant-based, and this can be created through various means. From soft cheese to hard cheeses, the world of vegan cheese has come to be one with a great range. Instead of milk, the base of vegan cheese is typically some kind of nut, like cashews, and also coconuts. It then goes through a process of fermentation to create a ‘cheese’-like product.
