In season in the UK from June to October, courgettes are surprisingly nutrient-dense considering how much water they contain. They’re very low in calories but are full of vitamin C, potassium and other goodies.
Courgette health benefits
The potassium content in courgettes is great at keeping your muscles and nervous system functioning normally by regulating the body’s fluid balance. Whereas our old friend vitamin C is great for giving our immune system the boost it needs in order to stay healthy.
