Vegan Kids Snacks And Lunches

by Fabian Jackson

7min read

We know that coming up with ways to get kids to eat everything on their plate can be tricky enough at home, let alone when out and about. So we’ve got some tasty and fun vegan snacks and lunchbox ideas guaranteed to go down a treat!

We’ve put together some of our top allplants recipes that are the perfect child-friendly vegan snacks and lunchbox fillers.

Vegan lunchbox ideas

If you’re after lunchtime’s main event, then look no further. Either of these would be worthy winners for the top spot in your children’s plant-based lunchbox.

Our vegan BLT sandwich is so easy to make, and a tried and tested family favourite. With smoky roasted aubergine as the B, there’s a little bit of night-before prep. But trust us, it’s worth the extra five minutes.

Next up is our well loved allplants friend, Val’s vegan sausage rolls. It’s perfectly flakey, filling and oh-so-inviting. You’re guaranteed to get requests at the school gates from parents and teachers for this recipe.

Our quick and easy summer tomato pasta is ready in under half an hour. And delicious hot or cold.

Fussy eaters no more!

Packed full of apricots, oats and goodness, our vegan apricot flapjacks are the perfect antidote to mid-morning hunger. It's quick to make and fuss-free to eat at school and beyond.

Did you know we’ve got a really simple vegan bounty bar recipe? Well you do now. And we think that one of these would be the crowning jewel in any packed lunch.

Not quite tickled your fancy yet? Have a go at our upgraded banana bread recipe. It’s the best way to use up overripe bananas, and the cinnamon sugar is very special.

Whether they’re intended for some play time fuel, or an end of lunch treat, these three great bakes won’t stick around for long.

After school vegan snacks

This one is a little less suited to travelling, but perfect for your returning little learners. This is the allplants blueberry ice lollies recipe. We think it’s the perfect three-thirty pick me up.

If it’s been a big week for homework, then how about these crispy vegan chocolate orange bars as an occasional treat. They do the trick when we’ve got a big day in the allplants kitchen.
