World Chocolate Day 2020
by Emily Neill
The day we've been waiting for in 2020 is here. Also known as World Chocolate Day. It’s the day of the year where it’s (even more) socially acceptable to eat chocolate for every meal and snack of the day. Chocolate lovers, we’ve got your back. Look no further for some recipe inspiration to make the most of this day.
Ah the brownie cookie. One of the greatest inventions of all time. They’re deeply chocolatey — fudgy like a brownie and crisp and chewy like a chocolate chip cookie. We salute you Val, our creative recipe Queen.
A bounty might not be everyone’s favourite chocolate bar, but believe us when we say that these homemade vegan bounty bars won’t be the last left in the tin. It’s scientifically proven that the bigger the bounty bar, the tastier they are. Tried, tested and proven.
These chocolate-y, zesty, orange bars are a family favourite. Think Terry’s Chocolate Orange meets crispy dark chocolate heaven. The puffed rice crunch with the creamy chocolate coating is a combination like no other.
A brownie is always a safe option to satisfy that afternoon (or morning) chocolate craving. This recipe technically makes 10, but if only 5 make it to the table, who’s to know?
Vegan white chocolate is hard to come by. But this white chocolate bark (which we’ve topped with freeze dried raspberries and pistachios) is here to change the game. The chocolate bark is a blank canvas for your creative toppings.
Five minutes and five ingredients are all you need to make this double chocolate vegan ice cream. The best part? It’s made from frozen bananas, so it’s technically healthy.
A doughnut on its own is great. But a doughnut filled with chocolate? Well that raises the bar big time. This recipe is surprisingly easy to make and is guaranteed to be a hit.
Three ingredients are all you need to whip up this rich chocolate mousse. Finish off your dinner with this chocolate delight (and make a second batch in minutes if it has you craving more).
Made one of our recipes? We’d love to see your creations! Don’t forget to tag us @allplants on socials.
